The RX1 is the first digitally compact camera with a full frame sensor,making it a true photo pioneer ,but those pro friendly specs don't come cheap.Does it do enough to justify it's pricey price tag of R40 000?
It may a point and shoot camera but the RX1 is neither light nor pocket-friendly.It weighs around twice as much as most high end compacts,and the lens adds a substantial bit of bulk.The build quality is top notch,though,with a metal body and a finish so classy it could grace the Camp Nou.
The RX1's 3in/2.5cm screen is one of the sharpest camera LCD's around.With 1,229,000 pixels on show,images really pop on it.I t isn't touch sensitive,which might come as a bit of a surprise but then touchscreens controls wouldn't really fit this cam's 'pro' image
